The final between the 2 opposites

4 days to go..and

6 days to go..

For the iconic India England women's test match and..

The most important match of my life, the WTC final.

For a test match lover, it just doesn't get bigger than this.

Tests have never been more important. WTC gives meaning to the purest format with every test being critical (of course there are system flaws but we have to start somewhere).Women's tests are also getting a push which is a great sign.

I have traveled for so many matches across the world. If there was 1 match that I wanted to part of, it would be the WTC final.

Unfortunately, life has a different plan.

I feel jealous of people in UK who will be able to attend it. At the same time, thankful that life has been kind to me.

As we build up to the grandmother of all finals, it is worth re-living the ecstatic series win in Australia. It feels like a dream even now. All of us stunned with eyes popping out, mouth open, hands covering them in awe, hands on head and jumping around with tear filled eyes. Not once, not twice but multiple times through the series. Literally pinching ourselves to believe that this was actually happening. How on earth did we overcome whatever was thrown at us and ended up as winners? How did we manage to rise up from the ashes after being buried ?How did the youngsters get such strength of character to fight a mammoth battle? Indian fans have been waiting for a million years to see something like this. All we desired was a fight. And fight they did with all their might and crushed the opponents in their fortress.

The Gabba 11 that pulled off a miracle might never play together again! How bizarre!

I couldn't have wished for a better opponent in our 1st WTC clash. I know Ind Vs NZ in England does not sound good at all. That image of the bat inches away from the crease makes us all weep even today. However,if I have to pick 1 team as my favourite after India,it has to be NZ.They have been fighters from time immemorial, playing the game in the right spirit and most appropriate for the 1st final.

I dream of India being crowned as the test champions. Maybe someday even see our women win a Women's WTC! We are allowed to dream as a country now. This is what our team taught us in Australia. Never stop dreaming, never give up, never hesitate to take the blows and strike when the opponent never expects it, that too in a place where it hurts the most.
