2nd April 2011 changed my attitude towards life. Every year on this day,I thank my stars. This post is for those who give up thinking it is impossible. WC final was in my city,Mumbai.Sachin's last WC.Doesn't get bigger. I had to be at the Wankhede. I was in Chennai & booked my flight tickets to Mumbai in March itself. The toughest part was to get a match ticket. I called random people, wrote on websites, pleaded for just 1 ticket. All day long. Everyone thought I had completely lost it and said surely won't get a ticket.I did not give up and kept trying, praying and hoping. The day arrived and no ticket. My husband and I boarded the flight to Mumbai on 2nd April morning.I was depressed. 2 hrs before the match,a god-sent girl called me to ask if I need 1 ticket.I could not believe it. I told her to stay put, took the local train to stadium & grabbed it. I still can't believe it. Who was that girl? why did she call me? That changed me forever. From that day, I am ...

2020 was incredibly tough.I worked like a machine for 12-14 hours a day,no family time,no sport & bad news from the world. I had a lot of questions. What do I enjoy doing? How can I make a difference? What is my purpose?I set out on a journey to understand my purpose. I wanted to find my Ikigai.A question hit me hard-"On your death bed, what is 1 thing you will regret not doing in your professional life?" That is when I realized my purpose."To make a difference to my country by playing an integral part in sport development." For this,I have to break into the sports industry & with no connections, it is tough. I took a break from work-wrote sports blogs, started Youtube channel, participated in sports discussions & networked. Now,I am in a fix to decide-should go back to corporate & continue my search or extend my break till I find something? It is a testing journey & people tell me that it is impossible to do this as a mother with 15+ yrs of corpora...

As most of you know my first love is sports and in the last few years, I realized that my 2 nd love is Wildlife. The experience of tracking, spotting and watching wildlife in their natural habitat is something I really enjoy. Spotting the big cats is not easy though some people are lucky enough to spot them in their 1 st safari but they don’t know its value! I wasn’t particularly fond of animals before my wedding. Then, I met Wolfy, Abhi’s dog, who made me fall in love with animals.                                                                                    Wolfy The animal world is so fascinating and the more I learn/read/watch about them, the more intrigued I get. In the 1 st year of marriag...

Hard work is a talent. - Abhinav Bindra, Gold medal winner in the Olympics for India. Shooting as a sport looks simple. But, it isn't. While physical fitness is important, it is a tense and testing sport that requires immense skill and nerve. Success depends on staying cool under the enormous pressure of Olympic competition. 1.      Governing bodies: In India, The National Rifle Association of India (NRAI) governs the sport and is affiliated to Indian Olympic Association.
